Under the Snow

It is pleasant to think, just under the snow,

That stretches so bleak and blank and cold,

I couldn't resist posting this because she is such a cutie-pie!  She is very verbal and repeats things we say readily and easily.  Her first words after Mama and Dada were "I do", "Mom" and "peek-a-boo".  It is so much fun to play with her!  Because I love to share, please enjoy 55 seconds of pure sweetness...

I've been accused of fowl play!

This blog post is way overdue!  We've had chickens for 7 months now but I just haven't had the time to be on the computer writing about it yet.  Keeping chickens has been quite an adventure!  Not exactly as I had imagined it to be, but then again, nothing ever really ends up being like we imagine it will be.  We've made mistakes and done things the hard way, but here we are finally caring for our own flock of chickens!

Just a little update...

Praise the Lord, we are no longer unemployed!

Steve has taken a full-time position with ProTel doing telemarketing for AT&T.  He will also begin working nights part-time for Dillon's supermarket doing janitorial work.  

All good things come from above!

A thank you also to all of you who have been faithfully praying for us to find steady work.

It's a Wonderful Life!

Have you ever watched the movie "It's a Wonderful Life"?  Do you remember the characters Mr. Potter and George Bailey?  We have found ourselves speaking of the bank that held our mortgage as that "warped, frustrated old bank".  (And yes, we say it in our best Jimmy Stuart voices!)
