So much to say, so little time!

We've been very busy lately...too busy to sit at the computer and write things out.  I have much to tell about because so much has been happening!

Like the pepper plants growing so big and strong!  We are running out of room for them to keep growing and still stay under the lights.  They are even starting to put out tiny blossoms!  I've been taking pictures, but haven't had time to sit and write anything out.

And my winter sowing experiments are still growing well.  Even the tomatoes survived the late frost and snow!

The onions and leeks out in the garden are growing plump and seem to be happy.  We've even been eating some of them since our plans have changed.  We learned they won't transplant again without going dormant, so we have been adding them to meals here and there.  The peas are growing tall and beginning to grow their sweet curly tendrils.  Soon they will put out blossoms and then the pea pods will form!

We dehorned both of the cows and castrated Brisket.  That was an adventure!  And one I will take the time to tell...sometime in the future.

The reason we are so busy and short of time is...we are moving!

A bit unplanned.  Slightly unexpected.  Not entirely unwelcome, however.  We were hoping to purchase this little hobby farm, but there were too many obstacles to overcome and some of them were not under our control.  So we decided to begin looking elsewhere, eager to settle down and put in some real roots, and we expected it to take us a long time to find something just right.  However, we found a lovely farm in a beautiful setting and we are hoping to close on it in about a week or so.

That means a whirlwind of finishing up our schoolyear, packing, getting ready for family to come stay for a visit, figuring out logistics, more packing, and trying to plan how to get our cows and garden experiments across Missouri!

Fun!  Chaos!  Excitement!

Hopefully there will come a few slower days or evenings that I can get a little time on the computer to put to words all the excitement of this new chapter in our adventure.  I am taking lots of pictures and will try to not get too far behind.
